Early in the spring we received a number of day lily (hemerocallis hybrid ) tubers from my sister Julia in Stouffville, ON. We nursed them in the greenhouse and planted them out the first week of June.
Today we saw the first blossom. This one is called 'In Schubert's Day'. We just love the buttery colour and the fringed edges.
This one is called Strutter's Ball with a nice dark purple bloom and a yellow throat.
This is a daylily we bought at a local garden centre this spring, and started it from a single tuber in the greenhouse. It's called Moonlight Masquerade.
