The crawspace under the new addition had a layer of sand put in to cushion the plastic vapor barrier. Then another layer of sand was laid on top to hold the plastic in place. The heating duct you see looks unfinished, but it is actually an additional duct that will provide some heat to the crawlspace in the winter. Three other ducts come up through the floor to heat the new addition.
Here we're getting a start on the deck construction. Fortunately, we were able to recycle much of the material from the old deck.
