Well, after a night of stormy winds (but still without rain) we woke to a pleasant cool morning that was overcast and offered some good outdoor working conditions. We made great progress on the deck working from about 8 am through until 4:30, stopping only for meals and refreshment breaks. The cooler weather didn’t continue for the whole day. By about 3:00 pm, the clear skies were with us again and temperatures in the high 30’s.
Here’s what the deck looks like now. The deck floor is complete and one part of the roof support is up. The big grey cement blocks on the left will support the barbeque that has yet to be masoned together.
