From one coast to the other. When we left Charlottetown, we drove to Halifax - about a three and a half hour trip. Getting off Prince Edward Island cost us $46 at the Confederation Bridge, and then the highway tool later on was another $4.00. Given the awesome experience of travelling over the bridge and driving a great highway, is was worth every penny.
We stayed overnight in the Alt Hotel at the Halifax - Stanfield International Airport, so that our 06:00 departure wasn't too much of a burden.
The flight from Halifax was on one of the Bombardier 'cigar' planes - a bit tight, but two seats together by ourselves.
There was a stopover in Montreal and a change of gates. Then a one hour and ten minute delay getting out of Montreal. We were getting a bit anxious because we had reservations with the bus from the Vancouver airport to Victoria. However, we made it to Vancouver in time to catch the bus with a few minutes to spare.
What a treat it was to arrive in Victoria on a beautiful sunny afternoon. Here are a few photos from around the harbour during the evening and the next morning.
