One of the delights of our trip to Ontario in April to celebrate Dad’s 95th birthday, was to see our grandson Sawyer and our nephew Kyle meeting for the first time. The boys are only a year apart in age, and they were both very excited about getting together. They spent a day at Elaine and Jim’s and it was magical.
It took all of about two minutes for them to ‘click’. Here was the highlight of the day:
We were eating inside the house, the adults in the kitchen and the two boys at the coffee table in the living room where their conversation went like this,
“We’re cousins, you know.”
“Yes, and we both have the same last name.”
“I know. And, we look alike.”
Very cute. Here are the ‘look-alike’ cousins.
