Kids Camp at the MacBride Museum of Yukon History

kidscamp2010

Every year during the March spring break the MacBride Museum puts on a Kids Camp.  A lot of fun activities are organized for the kids.

Today was ‘Mountie’ day.  Some of the kids get dressed up in the uniforms the MacBride museum keeps on hand.  And they ask me to come and talk about the RCMP and the North West Mounted Police.

Here I am with the kids, holding a NWMP pith helmet.  Two of the kids were at last year’s camp so they were able to ask good questions, and answer some of my questions.  We had great fun together and they all wanted to pose for a photo with me.  Some had their own cameras with them, so they got others to take a photo of them with “the retired mountie”.
