We visited Dad and Karen during the last week of August. It was still nice summer weather in Keswick, Ontario. Here's a photo of Dad and me with his giant Brugmansia in the back yard.

One of Dad's passions is birdwatching. Regular visitors to the bird feeders are yellow finches, chickadees, baltimore orioles, blue jays, nuthatches, and a host of other birds. In this photo there is a mourning dove and a male cardinal.

Here Dad is playing 'cars' with grandson Kyle.

The big question is, "Can any one person get any happier than this?"

One of the projects we completed during our visit was putting up a flagpole in the back yard. Here we are with the flag of the Dutch province of Zeeland. It shows a lion partly submerged in water. The motto of Zeeland, loosely translated, is "We struggle, but we persevere."

Of course our visit would not have been complete without dinner at the Swiss Chalet in Keswick. On one of our previous trips we asked Dad if he and Karen ever ate out anywhere else. He said, "Oh yes, sometimes we go to the Swiss Chalet in Newmarket."
