That was yesterday, this is today!

Elijah and I went to Pine Lake (near Haines Junction) for the annual ice fishing day.

The weather was GORGEOUS! Bright clear day with temperatures around 7 C (but it felt warmer).

We caught no fish, but Elijah made a friend - Nick, who won the draw for the day which accounts for the big smile.

You would think with this setup, we'd be hauling fish out of the lake like crazy.

Actually, out of about 100 people out on the lake today, no one caught a single fish.

But no one went away unhappy. The Yukon Fish & Game Association drilled the holes for everyone, put on a lovely barbeque, and even served cake.
