Gerry the drywaller is applying tape in the corner of the room with his 'bazooka' - another great tool that runs drywall tape and dispenses just the right amount of 'mud' at the same time.
For me to tape this corner with a trowel would probably take about 15 minutes, and still not have a satisfactory result. Gerry does it in less than 15 seconds, with a perfect result.

Here's Gerry and with his helper (my 'missus', he says) finishing up the taping work for today. Back tomorrow for the second coat of 'mud'.
Meanwhile, we had 6 yards of roadmix gravel dumped in the driveway. This will be placed around the perimeter of the new addition and packed down to drain rain and melting snow away from the building. In this photo we have four wheelbarrows at work and about two-thirds of the pile is gone. When Mona, our neighbour across the street, saw what was going on, she brought over her little green wheelbarrow to help out. What a sweetheart!! For someone in her 70's she can shovel and move gravel with the best of them.

Here Mona goes back for another load, while Kevin and Renata discuss which of their wheelbarrows is the oldest and the most beat up.
